Breaking INTO Prison for $1
Recently, Light for the Lost funds were used by missionaries Mark and Jean Devine to reach thousands of prisoners in Colombia. Every dollar placed an evangelistic Christian book into the hands of one prisoner.
Each time this happens, the gospel breaks into prison, and people living in despair and darkness have a chance to meet Jesus.

Colombian prisons are home to thousands of men and women convicted of violent or drug-related crimes. Conditions are different than U.S. prisons, and very little spiritual care is offered to inmates. Mark and Jean have incredible favor with the prison authorities, and multiple outreaches take place each year with food, drink, and gospel literature being given to every prisoner.
The Devines and their team are then able to sing, preach the Word, and speak with prisoners. Many give their hearts to Christ and express a desire to change and learn more about serving God.
“Thanks to LFTL for making this possible,” Mark says. “You have stretched beyond measure to send us the funds, and with them we purchased the books. Thanks!”

TESTIMONY FROM MISSIONARY MARK DEVINE, COLOMBIA PRISON MINISTRY
Colombian pastor Eduardo Maecha was riding in a taxi and noticed a small Bible beside the driver. Eduardo asked him if he was a believer and the driver answered, “Yes.” He then told Eduardo his testimony.
“I was a prisoner in the Cali jail. Twice a year a group from various churches and establishments in Cali would come with instruments and would encourage us all to remember that Jesus loves us and forgave us of our sins. Afterwards we would all line up for gifts of food and a Christian book or Bible. As I read the Bible, I became aware of Jesus’ love for me and I have been a follower of Him ever since.”
The books and Bibles the taxi driver mentioned were provided by Light for the Lost! Thank you for helping to resource missionaries and chaplains for evangelism inside prisons and jails worldwide.
